The New York chapter of the National Association of Tax Professionals will present a one-day state update seminar (8 CPE credits) at various locations around New York State during October and early November.
The seminar topics will include New York Tax Credits (with emphasis on the NYS College Tuition Credit and itemized deduction – which one do I use?), Small Business Issues (including buying, selling and changing business entities) and NY State Tax Update.
It will also include a “201 EXTRA”, which will cover municipal bond fund reporting, joint vs separate, the NY Resident Credit, and casualty losses, and a presentation by the IRS on the Stakeholder Liaison Office, audits, and the Tax Gap.
