MY MOMMA TOLD ME YOU BETTER SHOP AROUND

.
Are you planning to attend the National Association of Tax Professionals “Tax Symposium”, which includes the annual year-end 1040 update, in Atlantic City this December?
.
Once again the event will be held at CAESAR’S. The advertised room rate for registrants is $95.00 per night (but you know full well that with taxes it will be much more – I wish hotels would announce the true room rate), which is only $4.00 less than if you booked directly online without the discount.
.
As you may or may not know, BALLY’S WILD WEST, with the same ownership as CAESAR’S, is right next door, and the two hotels are actually connected internally. I checked the room rate at BALLY’S for the nights that I would be staying (I will be going to one day of the Symposium and one day of the Update – in the middle of the Dec 1-4 schedule) and found that the room rate would be 69.00 per night - $26.00 (plus taxes) less than the "special" rate at CAESAR’S. For my three nights I could save almost $100.00!
.
I stayed at CAESAR’S last December and, while I had no complaints, the room is certainly not worth $30.00 + more per night.
.
I expect that I could get an even better rate at the TROPICANA, as I am constantly getting emails from them with special discounted rates, but it is probably too far away from CAESAR’S. Hey, I will check anyway (could end up at $59.00 per night!), considering that the TROP has a much greater choice for dining alternatives and evening activity than either CAESAR’S or BALLY’S.
