The
Annual Conference of the New Jersey chapter of the National Association of Tax
Professionals will be held on Thursday, October 4th from 7:30 AM to
4:35 PM at, guess where, the Hilton Woodbridge in Iselin NJ.
The
theme of the conference will be “The Ever-Changing Due Diligence Requirements:
How They Have and Will Affect all Tax Professionals”. Speakers include L. G. Brooks, William
Cagney, and Howard Bookbinder.
Topics
to be covered include anatomy of a no records audit, providing reasonable
cause, relying on professional advice, abatement of penalties, identity theft,
and the Offer in Compromise.
The
cost is $200 for members and $250 for non-members if postmarked before 9/30/12
and $250 for all if postmarked on or after 10/1/12 or at the door.
